“Art To The Park” was commissioned by the London Legacy Development Corporation in partnership with the Bromley By Bow Centre; it was delivered and curated by myself as the artist, and by designer James Sale.
Children from three East London Primary Schools: Elizabeth, Old Palace, St Saviours and Old Ford, had been learning practical skills and exploring their imagination through a series of art and craft workshops to create three art trails locally connecting their school to the Queen Elisabeth Olympic Park and ultimately developing this art map as their legacy. A temporary exhibition of their works will be on display along the three routes in April and May 2015.
Through the three schools the project brought different communities together, enabling them to learn more about their area and the Olympic Park.
