HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!

I would like to wish everyone a very happy 2013!

Many thanks for all your support, I hope this year the creative energies flow all around the world!

The images to open this year is a collage made by Nik Storey,  using a detail from  a photo of my sculpture “No Future”. I love the combination of surreal elements in this image, note the blue sky in the astronaut’s visor! The original collage is 12x12cms as it was done for a cd. It is made from paper, glue & scissors, guaranteed no pc! I hope you like it.

OPEN STUDIOS 2012

Many thanks to everyone who came to support Glebe Rd Open Studio last weekend.  I think the cold weather kept some people away but we had a wonderful atmosphere and a lovely time!

Special thanks to photographer Pedro Quirós for the wonderful pictures he took of my work during the opening ( see below, if you need any photo shoots you can contact him on pedroquiros@fotografo.com

LATVIA PRESENTATION

Many thanks to everyone who shared my Latvian experience with me at the Centre For Better Health Gallery.

I hope you enjoyed the presentation and found it interesting & informative and that everyone who joined the workshop had a good  creative session in overglaze painting, it certainly seemed to me that everybody was very focused & enthusiastic. The assembled plates & tiles at the end of the session looked great!

It was great that the London based Latvian textile artist Astrida Berzina heard about the day and participated. Her insights into some aspects of life in Latvia were fascinating. Check out her excellent work on her website
